Butterflies

My first post over at a2z Scrapbooking

Hi Everyone. It is Sandra here.  I am here with my first post. I love my mixed media and love doing cards that way also. I saw these Digital Butterflies and knew exactly what I wanted to do.
For the background I used a stencil with textured paste and then added glitter over the top. You can never go passed a cute doily which I added next and added some lace and paper flowers.
Now the butterflies. I printed them out onto watercolour paper. I then sprayed a few colours of the same tone and started blending. Working from the darkest to the lightest. I added a different colour to the circles. I then added crystal effects over the butterfly and added Glitter. When that was dry I added crystals in the middle as their bodies. Then made them 3d for only glueing the middle section down so they look like they were flying.

Hear is my Entry for Dusty Attic January Chellenge.

I used Borogue corners and Garden frames.  I decided that for this layout that I cut then up and do something a little bit different with them.  The corners are acting as waves.

I head embossed them and added glitter also.

What is inspired me out of this was the colours and sunset.

This is my entry for Jan Scrap Around the World.  I feel in love with the colours straight away and that is what inspired me.

The rustic colours and feel are just beautiful.

I applied gesso to start with and then used Lindas Stamp gangs sprays and paste to create the background.
I added some rusting powered to a few little spots just to add the look a little bit.

No layout is complete with out some chipboard so the have either been heat embossed of covered in left over  coloured paste and sprinkled with distress glitter.

to check all the entries out.

Thanks for looking.
